Swiftwater Refresher
RTS provides the necessary review of knowledge and skills that swiftwater rescuers should practice every year. This course consists of 8 total hours of contact time: 2 hours of classroom review, 6 hours of on-water rescue skills.
This course is designed for any responder (Fire Service, Law Enforcement, EMS, and Military) that has completed the basic or advanced swiftwater rescue courses within the last five years to maintain yearly refresher compliance training. NFPA recommends 24 hours of refresher training every 3-years to maintain skill competency.
All instruction MEETS OR EXCEEDS NFPA Training Standards.
Pre-Requisite: Completion of Swiftwater Course within the last 5-years.
